OptiAudio Player is designed as a local, client-side application. We respect your privacy by fundamentally designing the core media player to operate without transmitting your listening data.
All audio files, album art, playlists, bookmarks, and play history are stored locally on your specific device using your web browser's IndexedDB storage. MacLellan Books does not upload, sync, or transmit any of your audio files or personal listening habits to our servers.
OptiAudio Player contains no client-side analytics, tracking scripts, or cookies — Google Analytics has been removed. To understand general usage, we review anonymous, aggregate server access logs (standard Apache logs on our own hosting), which record only routine technical details such as page requests and browser type. Your imported audio files, playlists, and local database never leave your device.
Because your media data is strictly local, you have full control over it. You can permanently delete your entire audio library at any time simply by clearing your browser's website data or cache for this site.
